Born July 27, 1975 in New York, New York (a town so nice they named it twice), also known as " A-Rod". A-Rod is the third baseman of the New York Yankees (currently 2008). Alex Rodriguez also has played shortstop for the Seattle Mariners and the Texas Rangers.

 

1996-2007 he has lead the Majors in home runs, runs scored, and RBIs (runs batted in). He is also currently first in runs scored and total bases, number two for extra base hits and RBIs, and fourth in hits in all players history before their 31st birthdays.

 

A-Rod also has more home runs, RBIs, runs scored, and more base hits than Hank Aaron (RBIs), Barry Bonds (home runs), Rickey Henderson (runs scored), and Pete Rose (total hits) did before their 31st birthdays.
